Merchant of Record
All payments for Cognito AI subscriptions are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. This means Paddle is responsible for handling all payment processing, billing, and refund operations on our behalf.
Refund Terms
All refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms and consumer refund policy. Paddle's terms include provisions for consumer cancellation rights and refund eligibility based on applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
How to Request a Refund
If you would like to request a refund for your Cognito AI subscription, you can:
- Contact Cognito AI Support: Email us at hello@cognetic.app with your request and order details
- Contact Paddle Buyer Support: Reach out directly to Paddle's customer support team for assistance with refund requests
Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, Paddle will process the refund to your original payment method. Processing times vary by payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card: 3-5 business days
- PayPal: Within 48 hours
Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your Cognito AI subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
Consumer Rights
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with specific consumer protection laws, you may have additional cancellation and refund rights.
